I am on a tight budget and am trying to sell my house. But in the meantime I need a covering for my large arch window in my bedroom. It gets lots of sun light which makes the room very hot. We live in Texas so the heat is a given. Do you have any suggestions as to what we could use to help control the heat. The arch window is 86" wide and 43.5" tall. Any suggestions? I looked into faux wood blinds - way out of my budget.

can you just treat the lower square/rectangular portion of the window & leave the arch untreated? for showing your house, it would be prettier to leave the arch exposed.
then mount a decorative rod straight over the rectangular window (just under the arch), get the matching ring clips and either purchase or make simple panels (piece of fabric hemmed on all 4 sides - use white lining if the fabric is really thin or colored on the back side) to hang from the clips. you can even use coordinating bed sheets for the drapery fabric and have the drapes match your bedspread.
