storing fence pickets

Hi,

We'd like to buy cedar pickets now (on sale) for a fence we will eventually build and wonder if they will keep and if so, for how long, if we stack them and store in a shed?

All depends on where you're at!

In a shed will help -- that will keep them out of the sun. Start with a couple of junk pallets to keep them off of the floor of the shed, lay them flay, and sticker the stack every 6 to 8 boards as you go up.

Even at that, they won't las forever. Get the fence done this fall, or by next spring at the VERY latest!
