what to use to trim shingle edges

Hi,

I just finished shingling my new garage.

At the ends of the roof there may be a bit to much asphalt shingle hanging over the edge. I would like to trim them with something, what would be best to use; a razor blade or maybe some type of cutters?

Stanley hook blades are usually sold right alongside the utility knife blades.

Or snap a chalkline and use the long handled tin snips.
