Copier Not Printing

Ok here is what I have. i have a Minolta 1080 Black and White copier that I got for free from someone. I got it home and it worked great. The toner is a full brand new just inserted toner, and the thing was printing like a charm. I got a paper jam inside, opened the unit, and now it will not print. The bulbs are all still good, the toner is new, and after playing around with it, i got it going again (not knowing what i did that fixed it). Well i got another paper jam, and now it is not printing again. Any ideas. Thanks.

P.S I do not have the manual for it, so I am stuck on that end. Thanks :wall:

Have you checked the ball bearings in the Fetzer valve?

On a serious note, you should post this question on the same electrical section but on the computer forum. This forum here is for questions about your outlets and light sockets, etc.

Someone here may have an idea, but over there you will find people more oriented to equipment like that.

My personal modus operandi regarding computer related equipment is that most of it is not intended to ever be repaired. A good tech will get $100 minimum plus $100 an hour to work on a printer that can be replaced for $99. I don't know if your model is an inexpensive one like that. If not, then you have to judge just how much you are willing to spend to repair it.

2 and a half year later I suspect the problem has resolved itself one way or another :rolleyes:
