My answer to this question is based on my personal opinion. Others may have more to offer.

By reading the MSDS sheet put out by DAP, maker of Weldwood Resorcinol glue,I did not find anything that would pose a health problem of the CURED PRODUCT.

HOWEVER,

The seperate components of this product are hadzardous and precautions must be taken. I would not use this product on food surfaces or in areas where people or animals may be without preventive measures being taken.

This is meant to be used as a construction adhesive, not specifically for food prep items or where humans might come in contact with the various components.

I have inclosed a link to the MSDS sheets for this product. Copy and paste it into your address bar or click on link if light blue. At the top of it you will find a 1-888 number to the manufacturer.please use the NON-EMERGENCY number located in the white section just below the yellow band. I would contact them and ask about food prep surfaces BEFORE undertaking this project. You can ask if special sealing of surfaces must be implemented before use as a food prep surface.

There are many adhesives that are food prep safe. You may want to use one of these instead.
If this project is business related you want to keep your customers safe to avoid lawsuites. If this is family related, you want to keep family members safe to avoid heartaches.
Good luck in your search and project.
