Our bathroom is an odd shape, making decorating difficult. It is long and skinny. The shower is right in the middle with the toilet and the sink on the same wall as the shower. the problem is when you walk in all you see is the the long wall across from the shower. The room is about 4 feet wide, so when you factor the width of the shower, there's not a lot of room to put in anything that sticks out. We are on a student's budget, but would like our house too look nice, any ideas?

I think the easiest and cheapest solution would be to hang some kind of framed art work on the wall, for example small decorative pictures, and remember to choose an odd number of pictures(1,3,etc), because it adds interest to the room.

My second suggestion would be to color the room in a different color than the rest of the bathroom, so the wall itself will stand out without adding any decorations. Also you can use color with a texture, although be careful with too much texture because in a small bathroom it can be overwhelming.

Finally, you can cover the wall with a mirror, big mirror always looks good in a bathroom, you can cover an entire wall or just half of the wall, both is O.K. Bathroom will look wider and spacious.
