I just finished a 400ft 6ft cedar privacy fence. The post are set about 7 1/2 feet apart with three rails. All pressure treated 2x4's and 4x4's. 6 inch cedar pickets.
I set the pickets according to the ground and not the top. It seems nobody is concerned with the bottom, however, I have dogs and the bottom of the picket just about has to touch solid ground for them not to get any ideas.
This left me with a slightly uneven fence at the top. I have a variable gradient so one line will not work. I would like to use a circular saw to even things up but there doesn't seem to be an easy way without having obvious angles.
Any ideas?
