I am newbie and am confusing to select which one, vinyl, faux wood, or wood is good for my house?

Also, should I do it by myself for hire a profesional for this blind project? I check the direction and see it is pretty easy to follow the direction.

Thank you for your advice in advance.

i don't know what room/s you're putting these blinds/shutters in. i'd avoid real wood in humid areas like bathrooms & garages. and if you're going to want a stained color, i'd go real wood because they look best, but if you're wanting white or cream, the faux's are fine - go with a name brand and whichever is less expensive.

what are we talking about here? 1" or 2" horizontal blinds? shutters? what?

hire a pro? for what? measuring or installing or selecting? if you're sure of your measuring skills, order them yourself. if we're talking about horizontal blinds, if you can use a drill & a power screwdriver, install them yourself. i don't know your skill level, but i've always installed my own blinds with no problem, so i'd say it's an easy project. but if you're talking about shutters, they're slightly more difficult to install.

Hi expert,
thank you very much for your expert. I plan to install the blind. So maybe the mini vinyl is not as good as others. This is the first time if I do it by myself but I will give it a try.

Thank you again.
