Since my HVAC contractor thinks I need a whole new outdoor AC compressor unit, I'm thinking ahead to a project. I will convert a garage into a living space soon and cannot easily run new duct to it. (Baseboard water heat is easily extended into the space but duct from attic to garage is tough.)
Can a ductless indoor unit be added to a conventional system? It would be great to just run coolant feeds through crawl space.
Thanks.
Randy

Can a ductless indoor unit be added to a conventional system? Nope. Has to be 2 separate systems. 2 different compressors.
