Hi
I have just blow another Stator on my Mariner 75 hp 1993. This is the third Stator in a matter of weeks.
I have been told that there is nothing else on the engine that should affect the Stator but obviously there is.
Is it the fact that Iam using used parts or what else could be affecting the Stator.

What are the symptons and why do you believe the stator is bad.

No spark.
Have quickly tested the resistance on the Stator.
Low Speed side, (Between blue and red .) 2.million ohms.
High speed side, (between red wire and ground ) 104 ohms.
Am I right in saying that it is the Stator.
