ac to water grass

i know this topic has been said before because i got the idea from it but my question is the pvc comes from the top of my house out around a foot from the wall so i put a water hose on it then i hid the hose. The hose goes down then up along a privacy fence then goes down to my plants i notice that the water wasnt coming out that fast from the hose so i took it out of the pvc and a good amount of water leaked out of the pipe, can anyone tell me if this is normal or did i do something wrong thanks for the help let me know
