I am looking for a decorative door slide surface bolt to secure the inactive side of my double doors. Unfortunately, the door bottom is flush w/ the threshold, so in order for the surface bolt to clear the threshold & be secure in the floor striker, it needs have a 2" throw.

Have you tried one of the big box stores? They have some really nice flush bolts. (Usually). They are flat, decrative, and come in Bright Brass, or Stainless finish, and are usually 3 piece. The first piece is the bolt itself, and the other 2 piecs are the parts that hold the bolt. The throw is adjustable as the piece nearest the edge of the door can be put anywhere along the length. Just remember to give yourself the 2" as required, it's easy to miss-adjust. Hope this helps you.
