I have a Janitrol 60,000 BTU 93% gas furnace, with a 2.5 ton AC that is about 10 yrs. old, and a Honeywell T8600D 2028 programable tstat, tstat is about 1yr old. recently the problem is that the little 3 amp fuse on the main board of the furnance keeps blowing, I have checked the tstat wires and everything looks ok, I tested the 24v transformer next to the main board and I get a reading of 26-27 volts across that. fuses lifespan is different some blow with-in 3-5 mins other last maybe an hour. Outside unit is clean tstat wires that go there are good, no cuts, the wires are twister together, not just
together with a wire nut. any ideas ? any help would be greatly appreicated.

thanks
Zeke

These can be a joy to find. A lot of the time it's the contactors coil in the outdoor unit going bad. You need to amp each one out to see what's drawing the over current.

Thank You Mattison...

I got a new contactor for about $13 and installed it last night, the system
worked thru the night so I hope that fixed it...

Again thank you for the help..
