last night i noticed a burning smell when I got up I noticed the air was not working and the smell came from the vents. the breaker was not tripped but and the air will not come back on at all no power!!!!

Shut off the power at the breaker box and then investigate the airhandler. You may have toasted the blower motor. a capacitor, or transformer. With the power off get in there with a flashlight and your nose may just lead you to the problem.

Sounds like the blower motor shorted out on you, as said check it out or have a tech do it for you.
