I've seen commercials from a local outfit called Decks Under Cover that interests me. Here's a link: http://www.decksundercover.com/

Is this outfit the only game in town for this type of product?

They mention on their website that it takes only a day to install and then goes on to talk about the average install running $3000+!!!

I'm looking for a DIY solution to this. I have considered just installing some 5V tin roofing under my deck and adding a gutter and downspout at the outboard end but it would certainly not be as attractive as the aluminum stuff this outfit sells.

Any ideas for a cost effective / semi attractive alternative?

Thanks

Tom

I have seen this product around (http://underdeck.com), and I think it looks nice, but I have not installed it.

It is carried at Lowes and Home Depot. Lowes has prices online. I used the estimator on the underdeck site for a 12 x 12 deck, and punched that into the Lowes website and got $722.

I don't know how big your deck is, but using those tools, you should be able to get an idea of cost.

Let us know what you go with.
