I like to put a 1/2 log fence around my house.
more for decorate than for privacy.
Anybody knows if there is a special way to put them up, and
where in the greater Vancouver area where you can buy them?

Unless you build it from scratch, the kit panels will be tenoned to fit into the supplied posts, making future post replacement very difficult. I strongly recommend putting in freestanding posts first, and cutting short the supplied posts so they don't even touch our wood-digesting Lower Mainland soil. You could use treated retaining wall stakes, for example. Perhaps lash the panels to the stakes with black Japanese garden rope?
I've seen these lovely fences occasionally in Vancouver. The Japanese landscapers/garden designers (Yellow Pages) will know where to get them. Or, assuming you've admired one somewhere, ask the proud owner.
