Need a little trailer help. I have a Wesco trailer with inertia brakes. I do not think the little solenoid that inhibits braking when you back up is working. I have 12 volts to the connector, but as the solenoid and its power supply are sealed, I cannot tell if it is getting power. I hear no clicking when I disconnect the trailer and the truck is in reverse. Is that the test or is there another check I can make? Thanks in advance

you didn't say weather the breaks were on all the time or off all the time. If you want to check them out put a clamp on the break actuator to simulate hard breaking and check one of the wheels for break activation.
