I have used Thompsons, but know there is better out there. What have any of you used that you can testify as being a really great and long lasting protector?

Thanks in advance,
sancho :)

I haven't done a wood deck in almost 3 years. My customers have gone composite or vinyl, so sealing isn't an issue.

"T" is a waste of time and money. I suggest SuperDeck, Cabots, Silkens -- ANYTHING that is going to cost you $25 or $30 a gallon. Like they say, it's not how much you pay, it's how often you pay it.

I have had good luck with sherwin williams deckscapes. I've always liked the look of CWF but like thompsons it wears terrible. I used to use CWF on the steps to my screened in porch and had to wash and recoat every year. Deckscapes has been on there for 2 years and still looks decent.

I have asked this ? before, but don't recall the feedback. I don't have any idea why one can't do a search for user, such as yourself, and get past posts. Anyway, what is the best sealer to use on a freashly cleaned deck? Cost is not a concern, here.

Thanks,
sancho
