Hello everyone. We're new to the forum. We have a 5th wheel just out of warranty, and now we have a broken cord on a pleated window shade. This is a small window and has a single cord on each side of the shade that appears to be attached to the bottom rail of shade.( may even be threded thru the rail). I can see where it is also attached to a roller at bottom of cornice, and it apparently is attached to something at the top. The cord is not broken all the way thru, but the elastic covering the cord is broken allowing us to lower the shade. but it can only be raised a little. This is under a top and side cornice. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you ever get your rv shades repaired? We just bought a 1995 model with several broken shades. I took them apart and restrung them but I can't get them to stay up. They just gradually slide down.

There's a cordlock mechanism in there and either they're broke or you didn't string it thru correctly (which isn't an easy task unless you have directions in front of you). The easiest solution would be to just buy cord cleats and wrap the cords around them to keep the shades up.
