I have a 2 year old electric water heater. It started to leak from the top cover. If I push down on the top cover it leaks down the side from where the cover meets the side and around the hole in the top cover where the release valve is on top.It does not look like it is leaking from the valve. It looks like the water level is to high and overflowing from the top. hope I described the problem good enough, thanks for any ideas

Dave most electric water heaters that leak do so at their elements. Removing the inspection plates after the electricity is turned off will show any leaks.

Thanks For The Response, Yes,all The Valves Are Tight. The Water Is Running Down On The Side From The Cover.it Is Not Causing A Flood, the Drip Pan Is Holding It And I Am Draining It Everyday.i Have A Plumber Coming On Friday To Look At It And See If It The Heater Needs To Be Replaceor If It Could Be Fixed.
