I'm looking for a shade that is easy to clean & will be energy efficent. My mom thought of blinds but from what i've read blinds aren't energy efficent. I don't want a plain shade unless the material is asthetically pleasing & adds abience to a room. Not like the old plain shades that used to be used in schools 20 years ago for example .any ideas wherer to get best prices to save money & a repuitable product is appreciated Thanks northeastern Pa

if you don't know about all the neat shades that are out there, take a trip to Lowe's or Home Depot or the window department at your local Penney's or home dec store. lots of pretty fabrics & colors to choose from. you might like the cellular shades, or honeycomb shades, available (not to be confused with a simple "pleated shade" which is only one layer of fabric zig-zagged, no cells). they come either double or triple cell and have good insulating qualities, and the colored ones are white on the back for the street view. and they can be vacuumed. a lot easier to clean than blinds which you have to clean each individual slat.
