I'd like to build an 8' long privacy fence along a curved border. The maximum distance of the border from the straight line connecting the ends of the line is about 1', so it's not too curved, but a curved fence would look better in the setting. Any ideas (or places to go for info) how I might attack this?

Thomas Jefferson is famous for the brick serpentine fences on the grounds at the University of Virginia.

Curved fences are used for corrals. They are constructed from wood by using post spacings of 4'-6' o.c. in a series of short straight sections. Thus such shorter spacing of posts and shorter sections of fencing material would allow you to create a curved privacy fence.
