I need advice in regard to my Lennox Heat Pump. I came home earlier in the week and found the house warm. The heat pump was running but it was not blowing cool air. I turned the unit off and then back on 10 minutes later. The system seemed to work fine after that-it started blowing cool air and the temparature in the house cooled. It seemed to work fine for a few days and is now repeating the same pattern. I have turned it off and on 3 times today in order to get cool air. It cools for a few hours, then the air no longer cools. As soon as I turn it off and on, the pattern repeats. Help! I'm pretty handy around the house and if this is something I can fix myself it sure would help-things are very tight right now!

Hi Ed,
Thanks for the reply. Turns out it was a bad capacitor. I had the repairman check it out during the yearly service/manitenance visit. Thankfully it was a very inexpensive repair! My Lennox system is now 10 years old and has been an excellent system-this is the first repair in that 10 years. I will add that I have it cleaned and serviced annually.

Thanks again!
