Recently, I was in my basement and noticed some condensation build-up behind the vapor barrier along my basement wall.
We haven't had any significant rain in a couple weeks and have had very hot days for over a month now. My initial thought was that the condensation was being trapped behind the vapor barrier and simply 'pooling'. I figured it was a matter of hot wall + cool basement = condensation build up.
The grass around the perimeter of my house is bone dry (yellow/brown in fact) which to me suggest this shouldn't be a leak. However, we have a small garden along the adjacent wall that recieves periodic watering.
Any ideas? See some pics below of the water accumulation:
