Not sure what section to ask this but, I need a quick fix to stop or slow down water from potentionally getting in my basement sliding glass door. We are anticipating alot of rain from Tropical storm Cindy and I'm not real happy the way my new patio drains in one spot and I'm afraid water may find its way through the door. I don't have time to get sand bags, anyone have any ideas that may help??

It is probably too late for any fixes for this storm. As you know the patio needs to drain away from the house. The door frame should have been well caulked at installation and then again on the outside of the frame and threshold. At this point you would probably just be left with stopping the water at the point of entry with rags or towels.
