Hello,
I just bought a house and I have a water softener that I am not sure how to use. It is being by-passed right now but I can easily put it back in service once I get it working. When I open the lid there is almost no water in the unit (and it is dirty) and I'm not sure where to put the salt. The model # is 625.348731. I am pretty technically inclined I've just never used a water softener before. I called Sears parts dept and they said that the manual for this unit is no longer available. What do I need to do to get this up and running and make sure it works? I don't want to pay for service on the unit if it is in good working order. When I bought the house the sellers disclosure said that it worked. Can someone help me get started?
