I have a Coleman Cedar tent tlr. I want to add a roof vent above the sink. Since a standard vent is for 2 1/2" to 4' thick roofs, do I need one designed for a thin roof or do you just trim down the height of the trim ring? Thanks, Mike

You don't really need to cut a trim ring, there is a posibility you may have to customize. How thick is the roof? Do you have a vent with a fan?

cutting the trim ring is one option the other may be to to an auto custom shop and see if there is a vent for a van that would suit your needs and style this should work since the roof thicknesss should be fairly close
