Anybody know where I can get an infrared heat lamp recessed housing? I don't want one of the combo units like the ones made by Nutone, or others, I just want an independent housing, similar to the 6" recessed light housings.
I'm pretty sure I've seen them installed in hotels and such, but I have searched high and low and cannot find anything to suit my needs. :wall: The closest thing I've found is the 6" recessed light housings, but they are only rated for a max of 150W, and these heat lamps are 250W.
Thanks...Randy

You could Google the net and see if there is anything out there. I would go with an approved fixture like the Broan / Nutone. Square trim is not ugly and you could run the exhaust fan or not.

Hmmmm, I see this is going to be a tough one.
I have already googled yahoo'd, msn'd and a couple others. I've searched at HD, Lowes, and a couple hardware stores, to no avail.
I may end up having to go with one of the approved fixtures, as you suggested...much to my dismay.
Thanks for responding.

You could check this site. However, they look about the same as the Nutone and only a couple of bucks cheaper. It's almost like getting the exhaust fan free with the Nut One model.

You fixture you want is a a Halo H37T-401AL. 250 watt, heat lamp rated.
Spec sheet here: (It's a PDF document - you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it.)

Any Halo dealer should be able to order it for you.

Exactly what I am looking for, Cheyenps.
I think I'm going to have to reevaluate my search techniques, cause I searched their site a couple times for this and it never turned up for me.
Thank you very much for finding it for me.
