whats some good tips as to maintaining your garden in july?

If it is hot and dry where you are, keep the plants watered and the flowers deadheaded. Mow your grass a bit higher, if needed to protect it from drying and to keep weeds from overwhelming it. Watch for signs of yellowing or splotches to appear on some periennials as a sign of infestations from critters taking advantage of a drought stressed plant.

If you have a problem with grubs in your lawn, July and August are the times to treat them.

I am waiting for the crape myrtle to bloom. It is just about time.
