I am putting a new faucet on my kitchen sink. The hot side connection was simple as it had a 3-way 3/8 OD connection that included the water supply from some flex 3/8 copper, a 3/8 OD connection for my dishwasher and then a 3/8 OD supply with 1/2 faucet connection.
However, the cold side only has a 3/8 flexible copper line that I need to connect to to the faucet. Is there a shutoff valve wth 3/8 OD on both side to connect it all together? I tried to reverse a 3/8 OD - 1/2 thread value and use 1/2-1/2 supply line to the faucet but the 1/2 connection leaked and I can never get it tight enough.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance

I am a bit confused. If I read your post correctly, you have a 3/8" supply line to feed the sink. Does it have a shutoff valve on it? If so, you should be able to connect a 3/8 x 1/2' sink supply tube to it. MOST sinks have a 1/2" supply line that then reduces to 3/8" by way of a reducing valve. That is...1/2" sweat or compression fitting on one end of the valve and 3/8" compression fitting on the other end of the valve. I have also seen a flex tube (stainless flex) that had the same size fittings on each end but would only stop leaking after I reversed the tubing. No reason why, but it happened. Good luck and reply back with the results or any other questions.
