I have a 1999 Craftsman riding mower which I just had to replace the carb on and now it will run for 30 minutes or so and then blow the 15 amp fuse. Can anyone help me identify the most common points for a short? Ignition switch? PTO clutch? Any ideas would be appreciated. I have tried going to 20 amps and that blows too, so it definitely appears to be an intermittent short.

I'm guessing you have a kohler engine, and if so, you have 3 relays under the dash area, one or more of which is bad. This is pretty common, especially if the mower gets wet on occasion.
