Hello:
I'm new here so please bear with me if this has already been gone over before. In a nutshell, I have electrical heating with the vents coming out of the bottom of the walls. These simply do not do the job, they must be kept on ALL of the time and with all doors and windows closed, to maintain heat. As soon as a door is opened the heat is gone. If you go in to another part of the house it's like an ice box. Oh, I forgot to mention all heating is controlled from thermostats in each room, not just one system. I live in WA. state and it gets VERY cold VERY often. I am now in the market to sell the house due to an upcoming PCS transfer in 3 months and was wondering what if anything (given the time frame) can be done to improve heating, and ultimately the selling price. (cost effectively of course) I looked into radiant heating but it does not meet the cost effective criteria mentioned above. I have no gas in the house, I would have to pay the gas company $4,000 to come out and run pipes from the street to my home, so gas is not an option. Any ideas, options would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately there is no central airhandler in the basement. There is no basement at all, LOL. If I understand your response correctly, they are all seperate electrical resistance heaters. I am new here to the boards so I don't think I have priveleges enough to post pics, otherwise I would show you. These best I can describe them is they are an 6 or 8" x 12" grill vent at the lower end of one wall of a room with a CADET controller on the same wall as the vent. (Rectangular with a circular knob that goes from LOW (OFF) to 80 degrees if you turn it clockwise) Any suggestions?. Thank you.

Is this kinda what you have? http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/productdetail.jsp?xi=xi&ItemId=1612840908&ccitem=
If you host your picture you can link to it. Baseboard heaters is a doable option.

Actually after some searching I found this. http://www.cadetco.com/show_product.php?prodid=1001 This is the exact grill at the baseboard / lower part of wall. A cadet thermostat is used to control the heater.
Thank you for responding. Is there anything that can be done to help out my situation? Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.
