I have a 1950's fiber optic lamp that has a small motor that rotates. The motor has burned out and I'm looking for a repacement and so far in my internet search I have found nothing. Does anyone know of a source for this.
The motor is 120v 60hz. Also the motor revoles very slowly maybe 30 rpm. This is an antique that belonged to my dad and I really want to keep it even if it costs many times what the lamp is worth. Thanks

easywind,
What you have will be a motor with a small gear box.
There are many things currently that you may be able to adapt.
A defrost timer for a fridge is one thing that is like this but would turn much too slowly to work properly.
If you have a way of posting a pic, someone may have a solution.

Greg, thanks for the reply. I pulled the motor yesterday and am happy to report that I found a small motor shop on Canal St in NYC. that will rebuild the motor for me for 50 bucks. Thanks again
