I have a few Pixwell gooseberry plants, and really love them. I was walking through the woods today and saw a few plants that the gooseberry has little throns growing out of it, the actual berry has thorns, has anyone ever seen these, have any idea what they are and if they are edible or not. Thanks

Gooseberry plants have thorns. Some thornless varieties have been developed. Some varieties have hairy fruit. Learn more about gooseberries at http://www.innvista.com/health/foods/fruits/gooseber.htm
