View Full Version : 1987 S10 U-Joints
:wall: Could someone please tell me how to remove u-joints from the yokes of the drive shaft on a 1987 S10. I've never seen them made like these before. A friend told me they were probably the originals and it looked like it might have something injected into them. I can't find any clips to remove. All I know I have beat the #%$% out of them and won't budge.
TIA

check autozones website for repair info here is a link if it works the factory u joints are retained by a plastic disc that will get broken when removing the replacement u joints will have a regular clip you may need to use a press or u joint/ball joint tool if you cant remove them using a hammer you may be able to rent the tool at some parts stores.http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/12/b4/bf/0900823d8012b4bf.jsp
