I think the first thread i posted was in the wrong area. Sorry. Well here goes again. Ok Here goes. I have replaced a worn contactor, Replaced a printed circut board with a relay on it. I have no voltage at contactor. I changed the contactor wire for wire so I am pretty sure it hooked up right. The t-stat still turns the fan inside on. Replaced T-sat. I have 28 volts at the red terminal under the t-stat cover. Jumped R and Y contactor did not pull contactor. Still no voltage at contactor. Fan inside turns on but outside unit still not working. Rechecked all breakers all fine.I have voltage at the main wiring. I press the button on the contactor and the big fan runs until I let it go then shuts off.The unit is a carrier heat pump. Any clues :wall:

Carrier has a 5 min. time delay built into the outdoor control. It will not pull in the contactor when power is interrupted for 5 min.
You can speed this up by momentarily jumping across the speed up or test terminals untill it pulls in the contactor.
Hope this answer comes in time.
Too cool gotta go
