Hello everyone. This is my first post here, and I am hoping someone can help me out. On my master bathroom tub, I have a Moen faucet that also has a seperate hand wand. There is a valve that I have to pull up on to get the water to go to the hand wand, I believe this is called a diverter valve? I push this valve down to get the water back to the main faucet.
When I pull up on the diverter, the water goes to the wand just like it is supposed to, but when I push the diverter down, the water does not transfer back to the main faucet. I have to turn the water off and then back on again to get it to transfer back to the main faucet. This started happening about 3 months ago.
When it was first installed 3yrs ago, it was working fine. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help

Sounds like a collapsed spring in the diverter is causing this problem. I try not to work on Moen faucets too much but depending on how it is made, this could be the problem.
Go to Moen.com and look up your exact faucet, look at the PDF parts explosion and at the same time talk to technical support from Moen. They will determine what you need and most likely send you the part at no charge. $$$ = :)
