Toro self propelled walk behind mower. Starts on first pull, runs for 20-30 minutes, THEN, after it gets HOT it STOPS and that rhymes. No amount of restart tries will work. After it cools for several hours it's the same story. Could the mag pickup be too close to the flywheel?

Pretty sure you have a bad coil there. Try loosening the fuel cap when it dies first just to eliminate vaporlock.

If when it stops, you remove and replace the fuel cap, as cheese suggests, it still will not restart, Check for spark.
