I have some Latex kill primer left over from another job. Can I use the kill primer to paint metal security bars. There is a little rust I will clean up first. Someone told me it is as good as rustoleum paint. Any ideas

Do you mean Kilz2, the latex primer from the makers of the original oil Kilz?

I would never use latex on rusted or metal that will rust. Oil base will do a better job.
