I need to reverse directions with strip flooring and I need to connect two female sides of boards. I have read to cut a spline to conect the boards. How do I do this. What kind of wood do I buy to cut? what type of saw, etc.

Thanks.

Usually we just use the wood that we are installing. Just use a table saw and rip a spline, about half and inch by a quarter inch.
Good luck

Anyway to rip a spline without a table saw. I borrowed a neighbor's radial saw but this thing is too complicated for me and now my neighbor is out of town. Also, it says on the saw that it is not made for cuts that small. I'm stuck right now without being able to cut the spline. And I need just one right now.

Thanks.

You should be able to buy splne from your wood supplier.
