Does anyone know if there is a flex track (ligting) adapter to power the track via a plug?
Or Is it possible to convert a flex track to become pluggable? and How?

hitpat,
We have converted many types of tracks to plug and cord using SJ cord and plug but in your case I suggest the following. Call to a local electrical supply house usually in the yellowpages under "Electrical Supply" and ask for the lighting department showroom.
Explain to them what you are wanting to do as many items are coming out today and it is so hard to keep up and they might make a change over end adapter for this. I know in the past with normal tracks we have either mounted on boards and so on for disco shows..yes....I am OLD...lol....and today does happen to be my birthday...thehehe.....we have made our own plug and cord assembly as listed using the a normal flex connector.
Also they LOVE when you come in and bring the item you are wanting to do as it becomes a challenge for them to solve the issue so thing about giving that a try as well because you can pick up the items needed while you are their...

hitpat,
Depends on your system. Count the total wattage (number of fixtures x wattage of the bulb in each fixture) to determine what adapter you need.
Also I would go with DC magnetic transformers for longer tracks, because there is less voltage drop. But they're heavier and more expensive usually.
So if you have 3 fixtures, 20Watt each, then you need a 12V 6A (60W) adapter with a wall plug.
Well hope this helps you be less  about this stuff. As to where you can get it, try a local electrical supply or home improvement store, or some online retailers.
We do sell some transformers now on our site to compliment our track lighting products, so if you follow the link in my signature, and search for "transformer" without the quotes, you will see what we offer and some info is there also. Also feel free to call and ask, or to order some stuff.
