I Believe I am burning oil. I have a Techumseh 4.5 hp engine on my mower. It had stoped working so I took the carb apart and cleaned. Started great then within 5 min the rpm lowered and out of exhaust came blue smoke for only about 10 seconds then nothing. 30 seconds later (approx) the same thing. Any suggestions before I pull apart the engine. Unfortunatley the grass keep growing :wall:
Thanks all

You may have oil in the muffler--it will need to run for about 5 minutes before it clears up.

Sounds like either the oil level is too full, the oil is thinned with gas, or the PCV valve is bad.
