Thomas,

Thank you for contacting Honeywell.

TH8321 needs to be installed by professionally qualified HVAC contractors.
This is not a model which the homeowner can install himself. Honeywell
Customer Care cannot assist in the installation of trade model thermostats
such as the TH8321. We suggest you look up a contractor nearest to your
location and have them come and install the thermostat.

I think this is the only way your stat will work,

Brown - Y2
White - E+Aux
Red - R+RC
Orange - OB
Yellow - Y
Green - G
Blue - C

With a stat this expensive you'de be better off paying a pro their service charge to install it for you.

I had the A/C start up tech here and he wasn't familar with this Tsat and could not get it to work so I had him install the 8511 that came w/the A/C unit. I have a background in A/C (cirica late 60s-early 70s) and can easily understand wiring diagrams and programming instuctions. Just needed some 2nd opinions from some current A/C technical people. I really appreciate your post thanks again :o

Hello there,
I am replacing my old thermostat Bryant with a new TH8321

On the Bryant On the Honeywell
W/W1 White ?
Y/Y2 Yellow Y
G Green G
R Red R+Rc -short cut-
O/W2 Orange O/B
C Blue C

What should I connect to W? While it be E or AUX -present on the TH8321- ?

About the system installer option, my system is 1C/2H with auxiliary heat. What selection do I have to make?

Thanks
German

I find with heatpumps just use the tstat that came with it . Set it and let it alone You will come out a head in $$$ from what the tstat cost. When you set back a heatpump and then it tries to pick up the electric elements turn on for a time so that just about cost you what you saved in $$$ before.

the bryant thermostat broke. That is why I bought a TH8321 to handle my heat pump. In the same context, I am asking help with the question above.
