Well the Hunter fan install is fine, done a few before, but now I'm defeated! Just how does that breakaway plastic connector for the pullchain connect to the chain?

I can see the two parts plug together but short of glue, I have no idea on how the chain joins to the plastic parts.

This, I can tell, is going to be one of those real obvious ones and I'll feel stupid for not being able to see it - but it happens.

I just put in another Hunter fan and in this case had to connect wires from the lighting assembly to the lighting box. These wires were fitted with these little plug-in connectors.

In the previous fan, there were a couple of these loose in the kit, but no use for them. These were the parts I assumed were the plastic breakaway connector. Now I realise that the "breakaway connectors" were just the usual chain connectors but in plastic.

OK, feeling dumb but wiser,

Graham
