kindling wood inside ok?

I live in new england, so no risk of drywood termites as far as I know, just subterranean, is this right?

Anyway, I know not to keep firewood logs inside the house, but what about dry, plank wood kindling that has never been stored outside? Is this ok to store indoors without fear of attracting termites?

There are other pests such as powder post beetles or wood borers that may be of concern.
