for the 3rd time in 1 year, the water in the tub takes forever to go down the drain. the 2 previous times i used some draino and that fixed it. but this time, the draino did nothing. i heard it's not good to keep using this product. does it sound like i have a serious clog somewhere and i should call a plumber? the pipes that run from the toilet down are pvc. does draino affect them more than copper piping?

draino do harm pipe make the hot and melt some time
there some liquid plumber that work good
sound like hair buildup in the p trap
you could try to remove the inner part of the drain in the tub
inside the drain part it shape like a + insert the end of a pair of ajustable plier
between the + and twist of counter clockwize it should come off the used a plumber snake and clean it out
