 My wife and I started a project to replace the carpet in our home with wood laminate. The carpet came up like a breeze. Then we started to remove the engineered wood floor. The engineered wood was glued to the concrete slab in our foyer and it refuses to be removed. We tried a 3 lb hammer with a 3" wide chisel/scraper and after four hours removed about 1.5 square feet. Any suggestions on how to get this stuff up!

Take a saw, set it to depth of your flooring thickness, and cut it up in 3 inch blocks.

Then use an electric demo jackhammer (small handheld) with a flat paddle or chisel bit.

You will need a razor scraper to get the residue off the concrete.

Sounds like WORK to me!!! Saving yourself $5 a foot are ya!!
