I am newbie. Tried installing 2 ceiling fans over the weekend. Ceiling fan prep is available on both rooms.
Guest bed room - Regular ceiling - 8'
Master Bed room - Cathedral ceiling - 9' - slanting of the ceiling is very minimal
Have two questions:
1. On the guest bed room, the mounting bracket from ceiling fan manufacturer aligned right on the two inner holes whereas the one on the master bed room, I had to align the mounting bracket on to the side hook (the ones that bend inwards). Not sure what is the right way.
2. On the master bed room, the fan wobbles when in medium or high speed setting. I am not sure whether this is due to the slant. When I checked with the store, they mentioned if the slant is very minimal ( < 30 degrees), no need for slanted downrod. I used a 1' straight downrod.
Any help is appreciated. This is the 1st time, I am attempting this project ever. Since it is a safety issue, we are concerned very much.
Cheers,
