I found out that hard way that my laundry room in the basement does not drain water. Water heater broke and flooded living room next to laundry.

The problem is that the floor does not slope towards the drain, therefore water goes else where. How can this concrete floor be fixed?

They also make pans for water heaters that work the same way. They are mandatory in some States. Good luck.
