I recently replaced the entire flush valve assembly in my Kohler toilet with a Fluidsmaster, including the flapper. I adjusted the water level so that it doesnt fill too high and I dont have the fill tube inserted too deep so its not siphoning. The problem is that the fill valve still seems to refill every so often. I do not have any leaks on the floor of the toilet either. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Take a couple cups of coffee (liquid only NO GROUNDS) and pour into the tank. Watch the bowl for a while and see if the water turns color. Sometimes the flapper isn't seating properly and letting the water in the tank slowly seep into the bowl. Then the tank refills as you described. May be a piece of debris on the seating surface of the flapper. Good luck.

When i replaced the flush valve assembly I reused the old tank to bowl gasket cause the new one i got was the wrong size. Can it be that? There are no leaks outside to the floor though.

That could happen. Once they are seated for a while they get marks that, if moved, allow water to pass. I had that problem with a one piece toilet. The water couldn't get out to the floor but it continually ran down into the bowl and causing the tank to refill.

Perhaps the big nut holding the flush valve under the tank is loose?? I would think it would leak to the floor though.
